After successfully building powerful Community Partner networks on the North Shore, Metrowest, and the South Shore, Honoring Choices is excited to announce we are expanding into Worcester and the Central Massachusetts area. We hope to support and enhance the health care planning discussions that were started in Central Massachusetts through its many outstanding initiatives including the MOLST demonstration project and the Better Endings Partnership. We are thrilled and honored to work together with this talented group of professionals who have a deep expertise and long-standing commitment to this work.

To kick-off our collaboration, Honoring Choices and our Worcester Community Partners and Friends are hosting the first Honoring Choices Workshop for Care Providers on May 11, 2016, 8am-10am, at Congregation Beth Israel.  The workshop entitled “Health Care Planning and Person-Centered Care Through Effective Conversations and Connections”, will bring together care providers, community groups, cultural leaders, clergy and lay leaders, and care professionals in Central Massachusetts to create a dynamic and diverse Honoring Choices network.  Together we can help to ensure that all adults can exercise their right to make a health care plan that communicates their values and choices, and receive person-centered care that honors their choices all through their lives. All care providers and community professionals are welcome.

You can view the Save the Date Invitation here and register for the event. It’s no cost but space is limited and the event is expected to fill.  For more information, please contact Ellen DiPaola, edipaola@honoringchoicesmass.com
